Na Nach Nachma Nachman was the show that led to the creation of The Collectin. The show, mounted in the summer of 2009 in Los Angeles, was a night of works written by Sam Alper, who went on to write our winter 2010 play The Sound and all the works in our upcoming monologue nights. Na Nach consisted of monologues, poems, short films, and two one-act plays. Alden Ehrenreich directed, Brian Williams produced, and Zoe Worth acted, performing the monologue “Mona”. During rehearsals we began a conversation about our ideas regarding theater in our culture and community. By the time the show went up, we had laid the blueprint for the theater and film collective we went on to launch upon our return to New York.
